STUDENTS and staff at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) are ready to welcome you to course specific open days from Tuesday, October 6th to Saturday, October 10th.

There are courses to suit school leavers, career changers and lifelong learners. Open week also coincides with UCAS form filling and the opening of CAFRE’s Further Education application portal.

Year 12 students are encouraged to apply early to be considered for a Level 2 or Level 3 course in Agriculture, Equine, Floristry, Food, Horticulture, Land-based Engineering or Veterinary Nursing starting in September 2027.

For Year 14 students completing UCAS applications and planning course options for September 2027, the open week provides a great opportunity to find out about degree level study. CAFRE offers Ulster University validated Foundation and Honours Degrees in Agriculture, Equine, Food and Horticulture.

If you are interested in vocational study, CAFRE’s courses could be perfect for you. There are many opportunities for study, from full-time Level 3, Foundation Degree or Honours Degree courses to industry based Apprenticeship training.

If you are looking for a course to study after GCSEs, consider Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. Open days for Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Floristry, Horticulture and Veterinary Nursing are also on Wednesday, October 7th.

If you are keen to pursue a future in agriculture technology, crop production, enterprise science or sustainability, explore the Honours Degree and Foundation Degree options in Agriculture on Friday, October 9th. Alternatively, the Level 2 and Level 3 courses in Agriculture or Level 3 Land-based Engineering offer a practical start to a career in this industry after GCSEs.

If you are passionate about horses, visit Enniskillen Campus on Saturday, October 10th. CAFRE offers a wide range of equine courses on a campus that is equipped with excellent facilities from three specialist yards to a modern Rider Performance Hub. Study is available from Level 2 to BSc (Hons) Degree with options to study full-time, part-time, through an apprenticeship or online.
