OVER 40 foals from the first crop of Luxembourg are in the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale catalogue, which is now online.

This year’s sale runs from Monday, November 9th to Wednesday, November 11th. Last year’s sale produced four six-figure foals.

Winner of four Group 1 races, Luxembourg is a son of Camelot and was retired straight to National Hunt duties at The Beeches Stud in Co Waterford. Other first-crop sires with foals on offer at Tattersalls Ireland include the dual Group 1 runner-up Arrest (19) and English and Irish St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov (3). Foals from the first crop of French-based stallions Nietzsche Has (5), winner of the Grade 2 Finale Hurdle, and Grade 3 winner Leon Du Berlais have also been entered.

All the top National Hunt stallions are well represented in the catalogue, headed by Poet’s Word (62), Affinsea (45), Harzand (41), Maxios (36), Hurricane Lane (29), Martinborough (29), Order Of St George (25), Santiago (20), Jeu St Eloi (22), Walk In The Park (22), Jukebox Jury (28), Authorized (12), Blue Bresil (10), Logician (8), Nirvana Du Berlais (8), Masked Marvel (5), Crystal Ocean (5), Golden Horn (3), No Risk At All (3), Old Persian (3), Doctor Dino (2), Nathaniel (2), Tunis (2) and Goliath Du Berlais.

There are siblings to Grade 1 winners Frodon and Storming George in the catalogue, along with siblings to Grade 2 winner Colcannon, Grade 2 winner Impervious and Grade 3 winner Embittered, as well as half-brothers to dual Grade 2 winner Oscars Brother and Grade 3 winner Shecouldbeanything.

Grade 1-winning mares with foals for sale include Gitane Du Berlais, Augusta Kate and Ashroe Diamond. Grade 2 winners Allegorie De Vassy, Brides Hill, Alletrix, Ballyshannon Rose, Sassy Diva and Toubeera also have progeny for sale.

Other notable lots include a Blue Bresil colt out of an own-sister to Grade 2 winner Jetara, his sibling having sold for €135,000 last November. A Jeu St Eloi filly out of a half-sister to the dual Grade 2 winner Conflated will also feature.

A son of Poet’s Word that was purchased for €20,000 at this sale in November 2023 was sold at this year’s Derby Sale in June for €165,000. A son of Santiago realised €170,000 having been purchased for €22,000 in November 2023, while a daughter of Walk In The Park was sold for €115,000 having been purchased as a foal for €37,000.
