EDWINA O’Connor and the Irish Draught Ashwood Reggie claimed an incredible fifth seasonal win in the Mercedes-Benz EI90 (Amateur) at Barnadown. The combination has run just six times in 2026, with their worst result being second of 14 starters in the EI90 (Amateur) class at the George Mernagh Tattersalls Horse Trials, and here they completed double clear on 27.8.

Ciara Kelly and Cousin Joe were their nearest rivals in second on 32, fractionally ahead of Lizzy Lillington-Lester and Craco Blue, third on 32.5.

Alannah Kelly once again faced no opposition in the Overlander EI110 (Amateur), earning another win with Milshogue Bailey despite a refusal at fence 13 cross-country, but eight combinations took on the challenge of the Mooreshill Equine Veterinary EI100 equivalent.

Having not finished off the podium in their previous four runs, Emily Murphy and the unraced thoroughbred mare Lily Bobtail unsurprisingly emerged the best of them on a total score of 31. Margins were tight at the top of the leaderboard, with Joan Sinnott taking second riding Newtown Wilson on 31.8, ahead of Louise O’Grady and Mirah Max on 32.
