TENNESSEE Stud, winner of a Group 1 race at two years and successful in a Group 2 race at ParisLongchamp on this day last year, is among 41 horses entered by Coolmore for the Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale. Starting on Monday, October 26th, the four-day sale has attracted 1,587 entries and is the world’s largest sale of its kind.
Coolmore, consignors of multiple Group 1 winner Sir Delius at this sale in 2024, have also entered the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint second Brussels for the Newmarket sale.
Also set to be offered is the evergreen Group 1 Lockinge Stakes winner Audience, who has been placed at group level on five occasions this year for trainer David O’Meara. The son of Iffraaj is Timeform-rated 111 and will be consigned by Baroda Stud.
The largest consignment comes from The Castlebridge Consignment, who are set to offer 230 lots including Ado McGuinness’s recent Cambridgeshire winner Pierre Royal and the John and Thady Gosden-trained Warrant Holder, who was third in the Group 3 September Stakes behind Pride Of Arras on his most recent start and holds a Timeform rating of 116. Castlebridge also consign the highly-rated two-year-old Scythe, who won on debut before being beaten by a short head in the Group 3 Tattersalls Prix Eclipse at Chantilly earlier this month.
The highest-rated two-year-old in the catalogue is the 107-rated Hell Of A Spin, the Adrian Keatley-trained son of Naval Crown, who was a narrow third in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes following on from placings in the Group 2 Gimcrack and Group 3 Molecomb Stakes,
The classic-placed Jonquil heads the popular Juddmonte draft. Rated 117 by Timeform, the son of Lope De Vega was a debut winner at two, before landing the Group 3 Greenham Stakes on his seasonal reappearance at three. Trained by Andrew Balding, the colt subsequently finished second in the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains on his next start before winning the Group 2 Celebration Mile Stakes at Goodwood later that summer.
Joining him as part of Juddmonte’s 18-horse draft will be the last time out winners Shipbourne and Exposure, who are Timeform-rated 104 and 100 respectively.
Enthusiasts of the ever-popular Godolphin consignment will be well catered for, with 56 lots catalogued including some high-profile offerings on behalf of the late Sheikh Mohammed Obaid. They include the high-quality listed winners Liberty Lane and Boiling Point, both boasting Timeform ratings of 117, and the Group 2 Celebration Mile winner Ice Max, who is Timeform-rated 116.

LAST year’s Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Balantina is to be offered at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale.The Donnacha O’Brien-trained daughter of Ten Sovereigns had been placed in the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot prior to her Del Mar victory. This year, as a three-year-old, she finished third on her latest start in the Group 1 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes behind Blue Bolt and Precise. Balantina is from a deep Aga Khan family. She is out of the Montjeu mare Balankiyla, also dam of the Group 3 Prix de Royaumont winner Baiykara and a half-sister to the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes winner Bayrir. She will be offered by Taylor Made Sales Agency, who sold Porta Fortuna at last year’s sale for the same connections for 4.5m guineas.
